Painting 2024
This body of work emerged from a personal crisis, navigating trauma through fantasy and action. Starting from archival material –works from the Baroque and Romanticism, news images, and personal photographs—each painting becomes a site of metamorphosis, where personal experience entwines with collective memory in an interaction between my body and the materials. Across the series, themes of death, the underworld, and the struggle to return from it resonate — a confrontation with mortality and a fight to re-emerge into life.
