Works on Paper 2018
These works take as their point of departure Rubens’ The Fall of the Damned and archival material from my research into skin, flesh, and the growth of trees, moss, and lichen in the forests of Northern Greece. They explore the relationship between body, flesh, and spirit within the Western artistic tradition.
