This body of work emerged from a personal crisis, navigating this situation through fantasy and action. In conversation with paintings from the Baroque and Romanticism, news images, and personal photographs—each painting becomes a site of metamorphosis. Personal experience entwines with collective memory through the interaction between my body and the materials. Across the series, themes of death, the underworld, and the struggle to return from it resonate — a confrontation with mortality and an affirmation of life.
